About

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The Sea Farmers Conference is the Aquaculture Association of Nova Scotia’s annual gathering of producers, researchers, suppliers, Indigenous and coastal community partners, and policymakers committed to advancing responsible aquaculture in the province. Hosted by AANS—an organization that has supported sea farmers and sustainable aquaculture in Nova Scotia for over four decades—this event provides a platform to share science, innovation, and practical experience across the finfish, shellfish, and seaweed sectors.

Through plenary talks, technical sessions, a bustling trade show, and networking events, the conference highlights aquaculture’s economic, environmental, and social contributions while tackling key challenges and opportunities for growth. Each year, Sea Farmers attendees from across Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada help to shape the future of a thriving, innovative, and sustainable aquaculture sector.
